03/06/2010 - 22:08:35

AlonsoPlanet You are making a technical infraction, you are using the wrong words infact. There are no consistent times in a F1 car that is burning off fuel and gaining pace lap after lap. If the car is 'consistent' then there is a serious problem. You need to understand this basic concept before you start thinking you understood anything at all. Dont show your contempt for people who work in the field, take that elsewhere. If you cant learn or don't like professionals correcting you dont bother to argue 03/03/2010 - 01:34:20
AlonsoPlanet Also 2005 there was no refueling ban, plus you info is junk. The MP4-20 was an excellent car that showed a steady increase in pace lap after lap as the fuel burnt off. There was no consistency. Do you speak English? Do you know what consistent laptimes mean? It means you are in the same zone without variance. So now retake that argument. If a car starts out 160kgs and runs around for 35 laps doing consistently 1.25s.-1.26s when others reach 1.21s by the end of the stint. Is that good? No. 03/03/2010 - 01:29:46
AlonsoPlanet Those who can analyze the data already know what the pecking order is. That includes engineers of the various teams, plus engineers/technicians in this industry. No one wants to come out say anything because even when they know roughly who is currently ahead or behind as of the Barcelona tests, someone may get a jump or even fall behind a rival due to a well done update come Bahrain. But as for the last test at Barcelona, the teams have a picture of the pecking order based off the final tests. 03/03/2010 - 01:21:28
AlonsoPlanet You win championships in a no refueling era by having a car that shows a linear increase in pace as the laps get turned in and the fuel burns down. You are somebody who obviously hasn't seen F1 when refueling was not allowed in the past. Before you talk like you know it do some read up or else you open yourself to ridicule. Hilarious that some people mouth off without knowing what that are referring to. 03/03/2010 - 01:15:38
AlonsoPlanet You hardly make any sense, consistent times is not what any team needs in a no refueling scenario. The Ferrari in Jerez started out with 1.25s and ended with 1.24s on a 20 lap run, Where as the Renault started out with 1.26s and ended up with 1.21s on a 22 lap run. That is a good setup. You need to get faster lap by lap as the fuel level goes down. This isn't even hard to understand. No your message is not aggravated, what it is, is that it lacks any logical thought or common sense. 03/03/2010 - 01:12:23
electrowdot It will take more then 1 race to find out who has the best package 03/02/2010 - 22:46:19
F1ProStyle FUCK MCLAREN "MERCEDES" !!! 02/28/2010 - 17:57:47
TristanDoran1 @AlonsoPlanet This isn't an aggrievated message, okay. You say that consistency is (Quote); "The last thing any team wants" (End Quote). That is nonsense because if your car isn't consistent how do you expect to win championships? What I'm saying is that consistency has been proven to beat outright pace time and time again, if you want proof just look at the 2005 season, the MP4/20 was the car to beat BUT it was very unreliable. 02/28/2010 - 17:54:30
TristanDoran1 @wawiebeastman Listen man, the reason McLaren got Button on board is because he is easier on the tyres than Hamo and with no refuelling and no KERS Hamilton is not going to be anywhere so that is some of the reason why they got The Butt-Man. Also Fernando Alonso has stated that this year's Ferrari is the best car he has ever driven, so I assume that includes the Renault of '05 and '06. Hamo got lucky in '08 and he'll never have the same luck again. Also I hope Schumi trounces Hamilton! X D 02/28/2010 - 17:37:53
AlonsoPlanet @wawiebeastman Redbull Mclaren and Ferrari or even Mercedes for that matter will work on their long run consistency and eliminate it to gain a steady decrease in laptimes lap after lap. No team will in their right minds be happy if their is consistently on the same laptime range. Thats the sign of major problems since the laptimes are not reducing as the fuel burns off. No one needs consistency, they need a constant reduction in laptimes. 02/26/2010 - 08:09:35
AlonsoPlanet @wawiebeastman The redbull is ahead because you are unable to see for the racing lines the cars are taking on track they show clearly they are running heavier. Much heavier than the fastest cars and still putting very close times. Thats where the Redbull and Mercedes have impressed. You lack of insight is not surprising. I work in this field. For the record only Renault have shown worthy long runs, decrease in laptimes lap after lap. A consistent car is a sitting duck. 02/26/2010 - 07:55:51
AlonsoPlanet @wawiebeastman Your analysis is completely wrong, low fuel setups give nothing on raceday as the car are all setup up for mid fuel loads no car is setup for low fuel in qualifying. You don't change setups once in parc ferme. Mclaren runs are pointless, because they aimed at performance. On the long runs only Renault showed a lap by lap decrease in times. Consistency is the last thing any team wants there is no use in being consistently on the same pace like Redbull Ferrari and Mclaren have shown 02/26/2010 - 07:50:52
wawiebeastman Nope. I looked at the testing times on long runs and the McLaren is more consistent. The Red Bull pace dropped off after 10 laps meaning the car is harder on tires. With the new rules (no refuelling), one lap speed gets you nowhere. Its consistency that counts. So, with Button blitzing the field in Jerez on low fuel and showing amazing pace on long runs, how can McLaren be behind Red Bull? Even top F1 sites pick McLaren as the pacesetter at the moment. Expect Hamilton to blitz the field again! 02/26/2010 - 06:43:57
AlonsoPlanet @wawiebeastman @wawiebeastman The Mclaren is a very good car but in this case Redbull still has the edge. Button will be taking smirk off the Hamilton clan's face, plus a puta like Hamilton cant hold a candle to the genius of drivers like Vettel. You got more than just Fernando in a Ferrari to worry about XD. 02/26/2010 - 01:59:22
